Slide the viewer left and right to travel through time. Is there anything more Northbrook than playing in The Creek?  It is much more shallow than it was in the early 1900s.  Otherwise known as the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River, Northbrook’s “Creek” has educated generations of Northbrook children on the wonders of crayfish, minnows, and what’s underneath rocks — and, most importantly, gave the Village of Northbrook its name.
