Description
Date and Time:
- The Shermerfest Cow Pie Moo-lette live vent will begin at 2:00pm on the day of the event in the Village Green park. The wait for a cow “pie” will end when the cow’s “business” is done, or the time allotted (at the discretion of the Northbrook Historical Society) has expired.
Entry Donation:
- Each square will be sold for $20.00. There will be up to 289 squares sold.
Prize:
- Raffle prize money is determined by the sale of the tickets. If less than 100 tickets are sold, then the prize money will be 50% of the ticket sales. After 100 tickets are sold, the prize of up to $1,000 is then determined by the cow and by rule 7 below.
Official Rules:
You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
- Each ticket represents one 3′ x 3′ square on the 17 x 17 grid. (Total size: 51′ x 51′)
- The Moo-lette grid will be laid out on the field with a maximum of 289 squares.
- The square numbers will be assigned randomly by a computer program at the start of Shermerfest and will be held by the Society Treasurer.
- All decision of the referee are final.
- The first cow pie dropped determines the winner.
- If there is no cow pie dropped within the allotted time, then FOUR winners will be determined by drawing four tickets.
- If the pie drops in two squares, then two winners will divide the money, three squares – three winners, four squares – four winners. If one or more squares went unsold when there is a cow pie dropped in multiple squares, then stubs will be drawn to pick the winner of the unsold square(s). Splatters do not count. Lines are neutral.
- Ticket sales end at 1:45pm day of event (or, at the discretion of the NBHS).
- The ticket stubs will be secured by the event organizer until the event is completed.
- The cow takes the field at approximately 2pm on day of event.
- The cow will take the field for a predetermined length of time (usually 30 minutes).
- Winners will be announced at the event from the back porch of the museum and at the Village Green gazebo. Winners will also be listed on our website for a period of time and be given a phone call.
- These rules will be made available for review in the museum the day of the event.
- The event is sponsored by and benefits the Northbrook History Museum. It is being conducted by the Northbrook Historical Society, a nonprofit, charitable organization. The Raffle is being conducted pursuant to the Illinois Raffles and Poker RUns Acxt, 230 ILCS 15/0.01 et seq. to raise funds for ongoing charitable purposes. These Official Rules (the “Official Rules”) govern the Raffle.
