Bring your classic vehicle to the 25th Car Show that’s part of the Northbrook Historical Society’s 47th Shermerfest. It’s from noon to 4 p.m. in beautiful Village Green Park. You can also join the CARavan that leaves the North Suburban YMCA (2705 Techny) at 10:30 a.m.
◊ All drivers in both events must sign waivers. ◊ Minimum donation is $15 per vehicle.
◊ Dash plaques to those who donate at least $25. ◊ Awards given for visitors’ favorites.
◊ All vehicles must enter park going westbound on Walters Avenue, and this will be enforced. CARavan usually arrives just after 11 a.m., so those not in it should adjust their schedules. Please be patient when waiting to enter the park… there are strict Park District guidelines we have to follow when parking the cars. ◊ No pets and no smoking in the park.
Shermerfest features food, music, and activities for all. There will be advance and day-of registration for both the Car Show and CARavan (one registration covers both; no online registrations after Sept. 19). If you choose advance registration online, please do so only if you also make your donation at the same time.
